SC/ST CELL
SC/ST Cells are established in the Universities with the purpose of helping the Universities in implementing the reservation policy with regard to the admission of students and the recruitment of teaching and non-teaching staff at various levels. The Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) Cell in a college promotes the special interests of students in the reserved category. It is expected to provide special inputs in areas where the students experience difficulties.
OBJECTIVES
- To co-ordinate with the University authorities in the implementation of the various policies and programs launched by the State Government and the UGC for the benefit of the SC/ST students and employees.
- 2. To undertake the activities to develop awareness among the SC/ST students about education avenues.
